DAV National Sports for girls 2017, West Bengal Zone

DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur organized “DAV National Sports for girls 2017, West Bengal Zone” along with co-organizer DAV Public School Midnapore from 4^th- 6^th November in the DAV School premises at IIT campus. The Chief guest on the occasion was Air Commodore Rajesh Purohit, VSM, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station, Kalaikunda. The guests of honour were Kuntal Roy, Dronacharya awardee and senior coach at Sports Authority of India SAI Campus Saltlake and  Susmita Singha Roy, Olympian & Asian games athlete. Among other dignitaries were the Principals of other DAV institutions of West Bengal Zone. A total of 16 teams from different DAV Schools of WB zone participated in the event. The three days programme ended on 06^th Nov, with the Valedictory Ceremony. The guests on the occasion was Papiya Mukherjee (Asstt. Regional Director DAV Schools W.B Zone) and Dr. Rajiv Rawat of  IIT Kharagpur. Special Guest on the occasion was Ms. Shreyashi Das Chowdhury (International Women’s Fitness Physique 2016). Special attraction in the ceremony was an enchanting performance by Shreyan Bhattacharya, student of DAV and winner of the SA RE GA MA PA LI’L CHAMPS 2017. The event concluded with a motivational speech by principal N K Gautam. He congratulated the winners and motivated those who could not win.
