CELEBRATION OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2018

Nature has always been like a loving, caring and sacrificing mother. But we, like children go on inflicting pain above her tolerance.

DAV Model School IIT.Kharagpur celebrated World Environment Day enthusiastically. In the morning assembly, Pratik Pyne of XA gave an inspiring speech on the ‘hazards of plastics’. Remarkably, 40-50% of the world’s waste is dumped by India every year.

Madam Principal Dr.Sweta Malani in her motivating speech wanted students to convert words into actions and to take a solemn oath to take necessary steps to save the planet. She further announced competitions of Card Making and Slogan Writing for each class. The class which will carry out the responsibility of the oath will be duly rewarded. Students took up the challenge and applauded the announcement. The motto the year to be followed in school to protect the environment is to “Be the change, you want to see in the world.”
