CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY

National Educational Day which is an annual observance in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India, was celebrated on 12 th November 2018, by the students of DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur. The objective of celebrating National Educational Day is to strengthen India’s Educational Institutions and to raise the quality of education and also to see that education reaches the grass root level. To make the children aware of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s contribution in the development of the nation, several activities like Essay writing, Slogan writing, Card making were conducted in the school. The students overwhelmingly participated in the activities and understood the importance of Education and the nation’s commitment to all aspects of education. The students celebrated the day with the hope that Indian Education System can be the reason for India’s growth story in the next decade.
