Celebration of International Day of Yoga – 2021
The International Day of Yoga was celebrated virtually on 21st June, 2021 by DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur in two sessions.
In the first session the timing was 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. where approx. 600 students (Classes III – VIII) and 15 teachers had participated.
In the second session the timing was 10:10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. where 400 students (Classes IX – XII) and 10 teachers joined the celebration.
In both the sessions various activities like yogic exercises(asanas), pranayama, meditation, online quiz competition on yoga were conducted on virtual platform.
Students along with their parents, teaching and non-teaching staff participated in this grand event.
We had also completed 15 days yoga training programme earlier virtually for parents, teachers and students.
The entire programme was conducted in strict accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol, promoted by the Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India.
