A report on the celebration of International Yoga Day

The International day of yoga was celebrated physically & virtually on 21 st June 2022 by DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur in three sessions.

The 1st session was from 7:00 am to 7:35 am for all teachers, staff & students of class XII in offline mode.

The 2nd session was from 8:00 am to 8:40 am for all students & parents of the classes III to XI in online mode.

The 3rd session was from 8:45 am to 9:20 am for all students & parents of the classes I & II in online mode.

Activities included yoga prayer, Musical performance on Surya Namaskar, Asanas, Pranayama, Breathing exercises, Meditation and Shanthi patha for all. Poster making competition was held for classes I to V. Essay writing competition was held for classes VI to VIII. Yoga quiz was conducted for classes IX to XII.

A total of 2655 Teachers, Staff, Students & Parents participated in this programme.

The entire programme was in strict concord with the common yoga protocol, promoted by the Ministry of Ayush Govt. of India. The whole programme was smoothly conducted by our Physical Education Teachers & all class teachers.
