On February 09, 2024, DAV Model School celebrated its Annual Day function, -“Rhythm Divine”. The Chief Guest was Prof. Vidrendra Kumar Tewari- Director IIT Kharagpur. Mr. Patil Yogesh AshokRao (IAS) SDO Kharagpur Sadar was the Guest of honour. Other dignitaries present were Prof S. Pratik Khastgir Chairman LMC, Mr. Ratan Prakash Divisional Manager CSR Tata Hitachi, and Mr. B. Biswal Principal DAV Public School Midnapore.
The Stage of Tagore Open Air Theatre (TOAT), IIT Kharagpur was beautifully decorated displaying 21st Century Skills with the source of all knowledge- the Vedas. The function was inaugurated with the lightening of the lamp, by the Honorable Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
The function began with Welcome song and Dance by the students which gave a stunning beginning to the function. Following this, there were dance and skit performances of students from classes 5 to 11. The dances were amazing, and the applauses were the result of efforts from every student in the performance and the teacher who helped choreograph the performances. The dramas addressed social problems like hypocrisy and superstition. The presentation was a show-stopper. Prizes and certificates were given away to the students who got 90% and above in class 10 and 12 exam along with others who achieved remarkable feats in National level Competitions.
The Chief Guest, congratulated all the students, staff, and everyone involved in the success of the program. Students were also very happy since their efforts paid off.
