DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur celebrated the 76th year of India’s Independence on 15th August 2022 with solemnity and ostentation. The celebration was a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ – an initiative of Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of Independence, its glorious history, culture and achievements.

The auspiciousness of the program began with Hon’ble Principal madam Lopa Chatterjee, paying floral tribute at Saheed Smriti. The School ground was beautifully decorated with Tri-colour flags, banners, festoons and flowers.

After chanting of ‘Vande Mataram’, the National flag was hoisted by Principal madam, followed by the National Anthem.

The cultural program by students on patriotic themes with songs and dances, dumbbell drill, recitation and formation of human pyramid enthralled the hearts of all present.

Addressing the stake holders and every one present, madam Principal laid stress on ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Bharat’, programmes initiated by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to inculcate self-reliance, having a strong moral character and put up the patriotic fervor in their lives.
