Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2022

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated by the students of DAV Model School IIT, Kharagpur to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India. As an endeavour to solidify the bond of oneness and unification, a throng of activities were organized to support the cause of promoting unity and celebrating “National Unity Day”.
To re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation a Run for Unity was organized comprising students of class IX and X. It was notable to find that the students were affirming the importance of National Unity to people on the road, while taking part in the run.
In a special assembly the students and teachers took the Unity Pledge to bring out the essence of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day which is an ode to Sardar Patel’s unwavering commitment towards national integration.
Some other activities were also taken up by the school like a Rally was organized comprising students of class IV and VI. Students of class IV attired in various regional costumes and placards held by students of class VI reiterated the unity, integrity and security of our nation.

A Rangoli was made by the students of senior classes and songs on National Unity was sung to bring out the essence of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day.
