'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign is envisaged from 9th August 2023 as a culminating event of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav '.

So, keeping in mind the final round celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur has conducted many activities on the theme 'Meri Maati Mera Desh'. The purpose of this programme was to commemorate those pure souls who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our motherland. A Shaheed Smriti smarak is located inside the school premises. On 29th September, the Principal, teacher's and students have shown respect to the great Hijli martyrs Tarkeshwar Sengupta and Santosh Mitra by offering flower garlands to the statue of the martyrs. All the students wholeheartedly took part in the activities such as - The Panch Pran Pledge, Essay Writing, Poster Making, Patriotic Song and dance etc. on the theme of 'Meri Maati Mera Desh'. By connecting with the land and honouring our National Heroes, this programme instilled a sense of national pride and inspired future generations to protect India's cherished heritage.
