Bharatiya Bhasa Utsav : 11 December 2023        

The birth Anniversary of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati on 11th December, 2023 was celebrated in DAV Model School IIT Kharagpur as Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav - A Language Festival, for enjoying the beauty of language, its diversity and to experience the feeling of oneness in that diversity.

As directed by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav with the theme, 'भाषाएँ अनेक, भाव एक' was a part of the celebration in the School on 11 December, 2023 to promote language learning through the use of regional languages and technology.

The effort was to encourage students to learn a few more Bharatiya languages. To celebrate diversity in culture, arts, and to make people experience the unity, harmony and integrity of the nation through languages. Also to show how language learning can be a fun and an enjoyable experience.

As a part of the celebration, students prepared an inspiring program in the morning assembly, which included a speech on the oneness in diversity of the different regional dialects of Bharat and their influence in unifying the nation. The students also presented folk songs from different parts of the country bringing the essence of regional spirit. Dance from the various regions of the country, performed in colorful attire was quite exhilarating.
