DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur celebrates the Constitution Day to mark the red-letter day of the adoption of the Constitution of India on November 26, 1949. The day also is an occasion to pay homage to the first Law Minister of independent India, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, who played a significant role in drafting the constitution of the newly-formed nation. The constitution gives spirit and life to a democratic nation and motivates it to focus on the basic needs of its citizens. Pledge taking ceremony was organized in the school premises followed by an array of cultural programmes to enlighten the young minds about the importance of the constitution to preserve our fundamental rights and lead us to follow our fundamental duties.
