Presence of the Honorable Chief Guest for the day Mr. Anand, VP and Plant Head, Tata Hitachi Ltd. Kharagpur was a source of inspiration and motivation for our Sports stars! The day started off with a lovely welcome song rendered by the choir paying salutations to the Almighty. Esteemed Chief Guest took the salute during the March Past by the four houses, the Scouts and Guides group and the excellent Band group of the School. The children showcased their talents through a beautiful and scintillating cultural program, which displayed a glimpse of Regional dance forms, Aerobic dance and Human Pyramid formations. The displays made way for the highly awaited athletic events. Students from all grades participated in a variety of events.

A special highlight of the day was the drone flown by ATL club member Srijan Mondal of class VII which is his creation. It was a symbol of the space we give our students to imagine, moodle, innovate and create.

The Principal of this esteemed institution, Mrs. Lopa Chatterjee in her welcome address expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Tata Hitachi group, Kharagpur for their magnanimity in sponsoring a basketball court, complete with epoxy painting of international standards. She thanked them for this wonderful asset for the budding sports personalities of the school. She also highlighted the significance of games and sports for building strong characters who are physically, mentally and emotionally balanced; who have the resilience to bounce back, be skilled in team management, learn to cooperate, coordinate and develop a spirit of fair play.

The Chief Guest and other distinguished guests from Tata Hitachi, Rashmi Group, Orissa Metaliks, and IIT did the honor of felicitating our prize winners. It was an amazing show put up by the cooperation of each member of Team DAV IIT Kharagpur!

The meet concluded with a vote of thanks and Shanti Path. At the end of the day, students departed with a beaming smiles on their faces. Indeed it was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish!
