Meaning - Rubies are not found in every mountain; nor is a pearl to be met with every elephant.
Good people are not found everywhere. A sandalwood tree does not exist in every forest.
The same way our environment, Our Earth is very rare. Let’s preserve it together for the generations to come.
Van Mahotsav is an annual tree planting festival celebrated throughout India to honor and pay respect to the mighty creators and the lungs of Mother India.
DAV MODEL SCHOOL, IIT KHARAGPUR observed 75th Van Mahotsav Week on them - Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam –The festival of trees from July 1, 2024 to July 7, 2024. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. The focus of celebration was to form a personal connection between the students and the trees through experience, reflection and creation carried out through various activities such as:-
Awareness Programs through short film
Debate
Poster making
Plantation
Badge Making
Fancy Dress Competition
Poem writing competition
Dance
Song
Morning Assembly (Poem , Speech)
