Netaji Jayanti is officially known as Parakram Diwas. It is a national event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of the popular freedom fighter 'Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose'.

On this auspicious day (23rd January, 2025) the students and staff members of DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur celebrated the birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, whose contribution to India's independence remain unparalleled. The programme started with a floral tribute to Netaji's portrait followed by a brief introduction of the life and works of Netaji. Various cultural performances including patriotic song, recitation, and poster making were showcased by the students with immense fervour and patriotic zeal.

The event was well received by the students who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn and celebrate the life of one of the greatest leaders of the nation.
