DAV Model School IIT Kharagpur celebrated The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP), on 6 April 2025 to recognize the power of sport in fostering positive change, bridging barriers, and transcending boundaries.
It was to make the students aware that sports and physical activity contribute to education, human development, healthy lifestyles, and a peaceful world. The observance also recognizes the power of sport in promoting peace.
In the lead up to the Second World Summit for Social Development in 2025, IDSDP 2025 will focus on the theme of "Leveling the Playing Field : Sport for Social Inclusion" with a focus on the most marginalized groups as well as on age, gender, and race.
Students were highly enthusiastic in taking part in all the Sport activities.
