Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, or National Unity Day, is celebrated every year on 31st October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. This day honors his immense contribution to the unification of India after independence.
The main aim of observing Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is to promote unity, integrity, and security among the citizens of India. It reminds us of the importance of staying united despite our diverse cultures, languages, and traditions.
Our school celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The following activities were organized:
Morning Assembly: The day began with a special assembly where students presented speeches on the life and achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Unity Pledge: All students and teachers took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation.
Unity Run: A “Run for Unity” was organized in which students and teachers participated actively, symbolizing the strength of togetherness.
Poster Making : Students showcased their creativity and thoughts on national integration through colorful posters.
Cultural Program: Dance performances were presented, highlighting the message of unity in diversity.
Seminar: Students of the senior classes has also conducted one Seminar presentation based on the “Unity in Diversity and Atmanirvar Bharat.”
Quiz:A quiz competition was conducted by the students to spread the importance of the utility of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for the unification and development of the nation.
The celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas instilled a sense of national pride and unity among students. It reminded us of our responsibility to contribute towards building a strong, united, and harmonious India. The legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel continues to inspire generations to work for the betterment of the nation.
