National Space Day Celebration at IIT Kharagpur

A day filled with curiosity, inspiration and the spirit of exploration!
Students of DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the National Space Day Celebration at IIT Kharagpur, celebrating India’s remarkable journey in space science and technology.
The event provided our young learners with an inspiring platform to explore the fascinating world of space, astronomy, aerospace and innovation. Students could attend the seminar given by Prof Kuruvilla Joseph, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, that helped students to know India’s achievements in space exploration. Water rocketry workshop was a thrilling session in which students built a DIY rocket ready for launch in teams .Students were enriched with a guest lecture titled "Radio Exploration of Space ", by Dr. Amit Kumar Patra, Former Director, National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL), Department of Space, Tirupati. Our students also participated and won first prize in National Space Day quiz conducted by IIT students.This programe definitely will lead our students to dream big, think creatively and aspire to become the space scientists and innovators of tomorrow.
