DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur, celebrated National Cyber Awareness Month in October with the objective of fostering safe and responsible digital practices among students and staff. The key activities conducted during the celebration included:

Students of Class IX conducted interactive workshops for the staff and junior students, focusing on topics such as password protection, safe browsing habits, responsible social media use, and identifying online scams.
* *Cyber Safety Quiz:
A quiz competition was organized to test and enhance students’ knowledge about cyber laws, online threats, and safe internet usage. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and healthy competition.
* *Song on Cyber Security:
Students presented an engaging song that spread awareness about maintaining digital hygiene and protecting personal data in an entertaining yet impactful manner.
* *Digital Poster Making:
Creative digital posters were designed by students to visually represent the do’s and don’ts of online behavior and the significance of cyber ethics.
* *Animation on Cyber Threats (Using Scratch):
Students showcased their programming and design skills by creating animations using Scratch, illustrating common cyber threats like phishing, malware, and identity theft along with preventive measures.
The celebration successfully instilled awareness about safe online practices and encouraged the school community to be vigilant, responsible, and ethical digital citizens. The collective efforts of the students and teachers made the event both educational and inspiring.
