RUN for DAV – A Tribute in Motion

DAV, the largest non-governmental organization in India has always been committed to Holistic Development through Innovative approaches. We are thrilled to conduct the second edition of ‘Run for DAV’ celebrating the spirit of unity and community engagement that DAV represents.
In alignment with the directions of DAV CMC, DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur proudly organized “RUN for DAV” on 12th October 2025, as a spirited tribute to Gandhi Jayanti. The event beautifully transformed Gandhiji’s message of health, unity, and service into meaningful action.
A total of 251 enthusiastic students from various classes laced up their shoes and participated with unwavering motivation and joy. Their energetic strides echoed a powerful message—fitness is freedom and discipline is strength. They participated in two categories – 5 km run and 2 km (Run for Fun)

Foster national pride and unity
The wholehearted participation of students, combined with the dedicated support of teachers, made this event a resounding success. Together, they carried forward the Gandhian spirit on the path of wellness and collective harmony.
“RUN for DAV” was not just an event—it was a movement, a message, and a moment of pride for our School.
