On 3rd January 2026, DAV MODEL SCHOOL, IIT KHARAGPUR organized a Mock Parliament Session to help students understand the working of democracy in a practical way. The school campus reflected the true spirit of the Indian Parliament as students actively took part in the session.
Students played the roles of the Speaker, Ministers, Opposition Leaders, and Members of Parliament. They presented bills, raised questions, and discussed important national issues while following proper parliamentary rules. The students spoke with confidence and showed good knowledge and discipline throughout the session.
This activity helped students improve their public speaking skills, critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, and respect for different viewpoints. The Speaker maintained order, and all members participated with enthusiasm and responsibility.
The Mock Parliament Session was a meaningful learning experience that encouraged students to become aware, confident, and responsible citizens.
