World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day, observed on 4th February, is dedicated to spreading awareness, encouraging prevention and showing solidarity with those affected by cancer. Keeping this noble purpose in mind, DAV Model School, IIT, Khragpur marked the day with great enthusiasm and sensitivity.
Students of our pre-primary wing actively participated in a range of meaningful activities such as poster making, role playing, and ribbon activity. Our nursery children also celebrated this day by bringing colorful balloons with "World Cancer Day" written on them spreading a message of hope, love and empathy. As rightly said, "Awareness is the first step towards prevention." Together our young learners pledged to spread awareness and contribute towards building a healthier and more compassionate society.
